My buddy

Faith has recently been interested in looking through her old baby books and scrapbooks, and also Maddie's. It got Abrie wondering why she doesn't have one, and it made me feel awful!! I explained to her that I used to "scrapbook" by jotting things down through blogs, and promised that I would print out her blog and have it bound in a book just for her. She is very excited! I find myself having to try to sum up the last 6 years with my sweet buddy (since I last posted on this blog site when Abrie was 10 months old) in just a handful of photos. Abrie will always be my BUDDY. That is what I have called her since about the age of 2. She is still our little Show Show, but more often than not she answers to the name 'Buddy.' I couldn't imagine a sweeter little 6-year-old girl. She left me for kindergarten this past year, and that was probably the hardest time in my life. It was hard when Maddie started school, and it was hard when Faith went too. It seemed even more painful with Abrie leaving our home being so quiet. The only way that I could even slightly put it into words was that it was "the end of an era." It was definitely a hard time. Abrie is the child that loves being by herself. She absolutely adores her sissies, and they all play together so well (their obsession with LaLaLoopsies is still going strong 2+ years later). But, she definitely is the one that is so content to just sit for hours by herself in a corner and narrate play time and act everything out quietly. She also comes up with songs on a regular basis, and I have tried to incorporate them into her yearly birthday videos. Her classic song at age 4 was "What do you Make this" which we all always ask her to sing. I love my sweet little Buddy!
