Miss Abrie had her 2-week appointment this morning.
Littlest woman was accompanied by her big sisters who were so proud and watchful of their baby sissy. Faith kept telling the nurse and the doctor, "Dis Beeba" (reminds me so much of Maddie when she used to introduce Faith at this age) and Maddie kept telling them, "This is our little Bay Breezer." Haha.
My baby girl now weighs 6 lbs, 13 oz and is 20 inches long. She gained a little over a pound in a little over a week. She already seems so much bigger to me, and yet she's really only 2 oz bigger than Faith as a newborn. Crazy! I love my little ladies.
I had been concerned about Abrie's umbilical cord that had fallen out last week, and yet was still oozing and bleeding. The doctor had to put some sort of stick in it today (for the life of me, I can't remember what the technical term for it was) because there were still remnants of the umbilical cord in her bellybutton that were the source of the oozing. It's not infected or anything like that, and she said it should be completely healed within a few days. I'm anxious to get Abrie in a 'real' bath because I know she'll love it! She loves having her hair washed, but HATES the darn sponge baths!
Rachel she is so beautiful. I am glad to hear her appt went well and she is growing like she should. I guess bath time will be crazy around your house with three little ladies now.
