Little Bay Breeze

I love these two pictures.

Abrie makes me laugh at how many things she does that remind me 100% of how she used to move inside my stomach. It's surreal to see her doing things, and I tell Dan "that is totally what she used to do in the nights!" My little companion. She flinches the same and makes the same faces and crosses her arms and hands exactly the same as she used to do on the few ultrasounds we had with her. It's so neat.

My littlest woman is remarkably laid-back during the day. (Knock on wood). She truly makes keeping with our old routines quite easy. She fits right in with everything. She has two consistent 'awake and alert' periods now: first thing in the morning and in the evening after dinner and a bath. Maddie and Faith LOVE when she is awake, and are quick to ask her if she wants to see their thousands upon thousands of toys. They love seeing her with her eyes wide opened, as do Dan and I.

Her cord fell off yesterday. One day shy of two weeks old. But, there is still some ooze in there and it made me nervous, so I did call the doctor. She goes for her 2-week appointment on Tuesday, so we'll see how it's healing then. I'm anxious to see how much she weighs at this appointment, as she already looks bigger to me. She eats so incredibly well!
